The Parishes of The Guardian Angels, Blackpool take all matters of Health & Safety very seriously indeed. Consequently, it is our practice to secure so far as is reasonably practical, the health, safety and welfare of all who work in our parishes either in a paid or voluntary capacity and to protect members of the congregation, visitors and others who may be affected by our activities.

Working closely with the overall coordination of the Bishop and Trustees of the Diocese of Lancaster and the Diocesan Health & Safety Policy within the framework provided by SafetyToolbox, we are confident that these arrangements will ensure continuity of all current parish activities through the application of a sensible and practical approach to any risks involved.

Finally, all who undertake work for the Diocese and our parishes are expected to act responsibly (i.e. no lone-working or working beyond one’s own capacity) to prevent injury or work-related ill-health to themselves and others, and to co-operate with the parish clergy and diocesan authorities in all matters relating to health and safety and the environment within any oral or written mandates given.
