The Parish of The Guardian Angels is a Catholic parish of the Diocese of Lancaster situated in the south of the seaside town of Blackpool in the northwest of England.

As Catholics we are Christians in Communion with the Pope, the successor of St Peter, and fully committed to following the teachings of Christ as contained in Scripture and in the living Tradition of the Church, handed down to us from the Apostles. We seek to live out these teachings to commit ourselves to a life of prayer and charity and to share with others the Good News of God’s salvation. We come together as a parish to worship Almighty God, to receive the Church’s sacraments and to build up the community of God’s faithful people.

You are very welcome to join us for Mass, whatever your age, background or personal situation. You don’t even need to be a Catholic to attend our Masses or services with us. Just come with an openness in your heart. The times of our Masses are on our latest parish newsletter.

If you’ve never joined us before and you’re considering coming, here’s what you might expect…

Welcoming people – but ordinary people much like yourself. We do love it when someone comes to us for the first time. But, we don’t always recognize first-time visitors, so feel free to say, “This is my first time here” and we’ll guide you in!
A safe environment for children and young people. There’s a Children’s Liturgy for primary-aged. All those who direct interaction with children and young people must have a valid DBS.
Practical teaching & preaching that connects the Scriptures and the teaching of the Church to our everyday life.
Plenty of opportunities to get involved. Everybody belongs here – we do everything for the name and fame of Jesus Christ!
